AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2020 for Girl Students in India

AICTE offers Pragati Scholarship to girl students in India for technical degree/diploma courses. Girls who are willing to pursue any technical degree/diploma from a recognised institute or college can apply for this scholarship scheme. Scholarship amount of INR 50,000 per annum is offered to the shortlisted students under this scholarship. About 5000 scholarships are given every year by the AICTE.

Eligibility Criteria for Pragati Scholarship

  • Applicant should be a girl student.
  • Must have secured admission in a degree/diploma course at any AICTE recognized institute or college.
  • Family income should be less than 8 lakhs INR per annum.
  • Only two girls per family are eligible to apply for this scholarship scheme.

How to Apply for Pragati Scholarship

  • Students can apply online through the Official Website
  • Candidate can fill the form online and upload all the required documents in a scanned format.
  • Just make sure you have all the details and scanned documents before you are sitting to apply for it.
  • The whole process is online and there is no need to send any hard copy through the post.

Documents required for Pragati Scholarship

  • Class 10th and 12th mark sheets
  • Annual Income Certificate. 
  • Admission confirmation letter from the college/institute.
  • Caste certificate (if applicable).
  • Aadhar Card (Should be linked with the bank account).
  • Canceled cheque or bank passbook.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Scanned copy of the signature.

Selection Criteria

  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit.
  • Merit will be based on the marks obtained in the class 10th and 12th board exams as well as the rank in the entrance exam.
  • The annual income of the family will also be taken into consideration.

The last date to apply for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship is 31st October 2020.
