What things are needed to appear for SSB Interview?

SSB Interview is standard procedure to recruit officers in Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. There are exams like NDA Exam, CDS Exam, AFCAT, TGC, NCC Special Entry, Short Service Commission, etc have SSB round to select the best candidates. Those who are eligible for SSB Interview are provided call letter to appear for it. You must have make sure that you are shortlisted for it and have call letter to appear for it. Along with the call letter you need to take care of some things before going for the SSB round which are given below.


Documents Required to Attend SSB Interview

  • Call letter for SSB
  • Copy of online application duly signed and affixed by photo.
  • Original Educational Documents along with two photo copies of each one.
  • In case you don't have original documents you need to have provisional documents signed by the head of the college or school concerned.
  • Photo ID Proof (Voter Card/Aadhar Card/PAN Card)
  • Residential or Address Proof (Driving License/ Aadhar Card/ Voter Card)
  • Those who don't have access to their educational documents due to some reason must have Bonafide certificate in the given format.

Things you should bring with you for SSB Interview


  • Two pairs of White (Shorts and T-Shirt/Shirts) for GTO task.
  • One pair of sports shoes, one pair of leather shoes, two pair of white socks and one pair of colour socks.
  • Two pair of formal dress (full sleeves light colour shirts and dark colour trousers).
  • Tracksuit and winter/summer clothes according to season.
  • Adequate writing material like copy and pen.
  • You need only formal dress during SSB. 
  • Don't bring any fancy clothes to the SSB centre.
SSB Interview is a 5 days long process and it will test the candidates mentally and physically. You need to be very well prepared for these stages before you are appearing for it.
