SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Exam 2019

The notification for SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Exam has been released by Staff Selection Commission and candidates can now apply for the exam online from 22 October 2019. You can apply for various posts according to your qualification and preference. Just ensure that you fulfill the eligibility criteria for that particular post before applying for it.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL Exam 2019

  • You must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university for most of the posts except a few.
  • For post like Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Account Officer you need a CA/CMA/CS or MBA or MCom or MA Economics degree.
  • For Junior Statistical Officer and Statistical Invigilator you need a Bachelor's degree in Maths or Statistics.
  • Age should be between 18 to 30 years if you are applying for Group B posts and for Group C posts the age required is 18 to 27 years.
  • There is age relaxation available for candidates who belong to reserved category.

Selection Procedure for SSC CGL

  • Selection will be based on written exam and interview. 
  • There will be Tier 1 and 2 computer based test.
  • Tier 3 will be descriptive paper.
  • Tier 4 will be skill test or interview based on the post.

Exam Pattern for SSC CGL 2020

  • Tier I: It will be a multiple choice question paper having questions related to General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. There will be 100 questions (25 questions from each section).  Each section will be of 50 marks which makes it s paper of 200 marks.

  • Tier II: It will have questions related to Quantitative Abilities, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics, and General Studies (Based on your choice of Post). This stage will carry 200 marks.

  • Tier III: This will be a descriptive type paper having questions related to Essay Writing, Precise Writing, Letter Writing and Application Writing (English or Hindi). This stage will carry 100 marks.

How to Apply for SSC CGL?

  • You need to apply through the Official website.
  • Just keep scanned copy of signature and photo ready with yourself before sitting for the online application.
  • Just fill the form correctly and upload the required scanned documents.
  • You can pay the fee online or through bank challan.
  • Just make sure you already have the preference order with you according to your choice.

  • The starting date for submission of online applications: 22/10/2019 to 25/11/2019
  • Last date for receipt of online application: 25/11/2019 (17:00)
  • Last date for making online fee payment: 27/11/2019 (17:00)
  • Last date for generation of offline Challan: 27)11/2019 (17:00)
  • Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 29/11/2019
  • Dates of Tier-I Examination (CBE): 02/03/2020 to 11/03/2020 
  • Dates of Tier-II (CBE) and Tier-III (Des.) Examinations: 2nd to 5th Nov 2020 and 22nd Nov 2020 (Updated)
