Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for College and University Students (MHRD Scholarship)

MHRD provides scholarships funded by the Central Government for financially weaker students with an excellent academic record for higher education. Those who are not able to study any degree course due to some financial issues in their family can apply for this scholarship for their graduate studies. There are 82000 scholarships every year (41000 for girls and 41000 to boys) by MHRD.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The student should have passed the board exam with the top 20 percentile of successful candidates.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than 6 lakhs.
  • The student should have got admission in a degree course at any recognized University.
  • Should be an Indian citizen.

Scholarship Amount Offered

  • Selected students will get Rs. 10000 per year for the first 3 years and Rs. 20000 per year for the 4th and 5th year of the degree course.

  • Just make sure you have filled the details correctly and submit the form.
